Wendel: NAV per share down 16.4% in 2018

(CercleFinance.com) - Wendel has published a NAV at 31 December 2018 of 147.
4 euros per share, down 16.4% over the year, with the negative impact of the decline in the price of listed and unlisted assets that suffered from declines in market multiples.

However, the investment company states that this decrease has been partially offset by disposals that were made at satisfactory prices in 2018 and the effect of the sale of part of the capital of Allied universal that was announced in February 2019.

Wendel has announced a share repurchase of 200 million euros (approximately 4% of its share capital), in the second quarter of 2019, subject to regulatory approvals, and will propose an ordinary dividend of 2.80 euros per share, which is up 5.7%.
