Faurecia: hydrogen tanks developed with Stelia.

(CercleFinance.com) - Faurecia has announced the manufacture of hydrogen tanks for electric vehicles with assistance from Stelia Aerospace Composites.

The Group has acquired exclusive access to the intellectual property and industrial expertise of Stelia Aerospace Composites.

Faurecia will now be able to design, industrialise and market high-pressure hydrogen tanks made of carbon fiber composite for electric vehicles.

Carbon fiber is the ideal material for hydrogen tanks, which have to resist very high pressure (700 bar), while being as light as possible.
