Total: AGM approves status change and dividend

(CercleFinance.com) - Total announces that its combined general meeting, held behind closed doors, has adopted all of the resolutions approved by the board of directors, including the transformation of the energy group into a European company and the adoption of the articles of association associated with its new corporate form

Shareholders also approved the dividend payment of 2.
68 euros per share for 2019, as well as the option for shareholders to receive the balance of the 2019 dividend payment in shares (i.e. 0.68 euro per share).

The issue price of the new shares that will be used to pay the dividend has been set at 28.80 euros. Total shares thus issued will have immediate rights to dividends and will be admitted to trading on Euronext Paris and treated as existing shares.

The energy group adds that shareholders and holders of American Depositary Shares (ADS) will be able to opt for payment of the balance in cash or in new shares, by sending a request to their financial intermediaries.
