Carrefour: new campaign defending French household budgets

(CercleFinance.com) - Carrefour, France's leading retailer, announced on Monday that it has launched a new multimedia campaign devoted to the theme of defending French people's budgets.


This "mass media" campaign, designed by the advertising agency Publicis, includes a TV film that has been screened since yesterday, based on "recycled images" from the lockdown.

The ad is accompanied by a campaign in the regional daily press that is set to last four weeks, as well as an in-store "dramatisation," Carrefour said.

In a statment, the retailer says it wants to promote the products of major partner brands made in France, such as the "Carrefour Classic" plain yoghurts made with French milk, which are sold at 0.50 euro for packs of four.

The group has also said that it has "blocked" 5,500 prices.
