Air Liquide: two new US production units

(CercleFinance.com) - Air Liquide announces the expansion of its biomethane production capacity in the US, with the construction of two new production units.
Located in Center Township, Pennsylvania and Holland Township, Michigan. They will process waste from dairy farms.

These biogas plants will produce biogas from manure for a total production capacity of 74 GWh, enabling the residues to be returned to the farms for their needs.

Thanks to Air Liquide's patented gas separation membrane technology, the biogas will then be purified into biomethane and injected into the natural gas network.

Air Liquide currently operates 26 biomethane production units worldwide, with an annual production capacity of around 1.8 TWh.

Armelle Levieux, member of Air Liquide's Executive Committee and Vice-President Innovation says that biomethane is part of the portfolio of solutions developed by Air Liquide to support the decarbonisation of its customers in the industry and transport sectors.
