Nokia: upgrades infrastructure software ahead of 5G

(CercleFinance.com) - Nokia is upgrading its infrastructure software, as the Finnish company is preparing for the launch of 5G technology.


Its new CloudBand solution now delivers unified virtual infrastructure management software to secure 5G cloud deployments, the telecoms gear maker said on Friday.

Nokia's CloudBand system has been a key component in several multi-year customer deployment agreements in 2018, including StarHub's network acceleration and BSNL's rollout of 4G and voice over LTE services in India.

T-Mobile is also using it to support its multi-band 5G network rollout across the United States, Nokia said.
