Nokia: inks 3.5 billion dollars deal with T-Mobile

5 billion dollar stake in a 5G technology, software and services portfolio from Nokia, the Finnish company said on Monday.

The US unit of Germany's telecommunications giant Deutsche Telekom today announced a landmark agreement to accelerate the deployment of a nationwide 5G network.

Nokia will assist the mobile carrier in its efforts to bring 5G to customers in the critical first years of the cycle, the company said.

Nokia and T-Mobile plan to jointly launch connectivity services covering several industries, including smart cities, utilities, health, manufacturing, and retail.

The signing comes after Nokia last week said that 5G was accelerating and that it has won "significant" deals in the US and China.
