Carlsberg: shares drop on disappointing outlook

(CercleFinance.com) - Shares of Danish brewer Carlsberg fell 3 percent in Copenhagen on Wednesday following a disappointing outlook for 2018.

In a statement issued this morning, the company said organic net revenue growth reached 1% in 2017, with organic operating profit growth of 8.4%.

For 2017, the Carlsberg plans to propose a 60% increase in dividend.

While the firm reported 2017 results "broadly in line with consensus," the 2018 outlook is "likely to disappoint," analysts at Bryan Garnier commented.

For 2018 Carlsberg said it is aiming at mid-single-digit percentage organic growth in operating profit, while consensus was more ambitious.

As a result, the Carlsberg B shares were falling 3.1 percent on the Nasdaq Nordic market.
