Bayer: to collaborate with children's hospital on hemophilia

(CercleFinance.com) - Germany's Bayer has decided to collaborate with the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia to research novel small molecule therapies for the oral treatment of hemophilia.


Under the terms of the agreement, the German drugmaker plans to invest 5 million dollars in their joint research over three years.

It is estimated that over 400,000 people live with hemophilia worldwide.

Separately, modeling firm Simulations Plus said that it has entered into a new collaboration deal with Bayer to deploy its machine learning software for use within the company's drug discovery workflows.
