Siemens: another major bond issue in US dollars.
(CercleFinance.com) - Siemens has announced that it has made its second-largest ever bond placement on Thursday, selling 7.
5 billion dollars of debt in "very good interest-rate conditions."
The German industrial group said total investor demand reached 15.1 billion dollars.
This is the company's fourth bond placement in the US capital market, after last year's 6 billion dollar transaction and a 7.75 billion dollar transaction in 2015.
The bond issue is intended to finance recent acquisitions - such as Mentor Graphics - and to refinance debt.
Siemens also said on Friday that Eva Schulz-Kamm, currently head of political affairs at NXP in Hamburg, has been appointed global head of government affairs.
