RWE: PPAs signed with seven industrial groups

(CercleFinance.com) - RWE announced on Monday that it had signed power purchase agreements (PPAs) with seven industrial groups, which the energy company intends to supply from its Kaskasi offshore wind farm, off the German coast.


The German group points out that these agreements, from customers such as DHL, Evonik, thyssenkrupp and Vodafone, have mostly been signed for 10-year periods.

The first deliveries are scheduled for 2026, but are expected to take place between 2027 and 2028.

The Kaskasi project - located 35 km west of the Heligoland coast - has 38 turbines with a total capacity of 342 megawatts, equivalent to the annual consumption of some 400,000 households.
