Infineon: to join Baidu's autonomous driving platform

(CercleFinance.com) - German semiconductor firm Infineon said at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas that it will join Baidu's Apollo autonomous driving ecosystem.


The company plans to contribute its expertise in terms of automotive electronics hardware platforms.

Infineon will mainly focus on areas such as microcontrollers, and radar sensor chips.

Based on Baidu's ability in artificial intelligence, the Apollo autonomous driving platform was launched in 2017.
