ABB: Q2 EPS almost halved

(CercleFinance.com) - ABB has reported Q2 basic EPS that has almost halved (-47%) to 0.
20 dollar, despite a 0.5 point improvement in its operating EBITA margin to 15.5% on revenues that are down 3% to 7.25 billion dollars (+6% on a comparable basis).

"Our teams successfully offset inflationary effects such as input costs and freight through strong pricing execution and higher volumes," said the Swiss energy and automation engineering company's CEO.

Announcing 8.8 billion dollars in orders over the period, up 10% (+20% on a comparable basis), ABB expects its margin to improve steadily over 2022 towards its 2023 target of at least 15%, supported by increased efficiency.
