LafargeHolcim: market welcomes new CEO.

(CercleFinance.com) - The LafargeHolcim stock is jumping over 5% in early trading today, in demand after the announcement of the nomination of Jan Jenisch as CEO of the Franco-Swiss giant building materials group, as from 16 October.


Jan Jenisch has been CEO of Sika SA since January 2012, a company whose market capitalisation has more than tripled and which recently joined the Swiss SMI index.

He joined Sika in 1996, where he held different management positions in a number of countries. In 2004, he was appointed member of the management board as head of the Industry division. From 2007 to 2012, he held the role of President for the Asia-Pacific zone.
