Schlumberger: signs MoU with Petronas

(CercleFinance.com) - Schlumberger has announced a collaboration with Petronas to explore opportunities in sustainability, digitisation, the Internet of Things and joint technology developments.


Both partners have signed a memorandum of understanding to formalise their collaboration.

The collaboration will include key sustainability initiatives, such as the establishment of a carbon capture and storage (CCS) centre of excellence, a skills development program and emissions management.

The parties will also continue to focus on "operational excellence", through digital transformation initiatives such as connecting facilities via advanced Internet of Things (IoT) technologies and creating digital twins.
