Equinor: acquires 95 MW wind farm in Sweden
(CercleFinance.com) - Equinor announces that it has acquired the 95 MW operational wind farm at Lyngsåsa (Sweden) from SUSI Partners.
This acquisition is in line with Equinor's onshore renewable energy strategy, aimed at being a market-driven power producer in selected countries in Europe and the Americas.
The wind farm will generate around 300 GWh per year, or around 10% of Equinor's renewable electricity production for 2024.
The electricity generated will be sold on the spot market in southern Sweden, increasing Equinor's exposure to market revenues with immediate operational cash flows.
As part of the transaction, Equinor takes 100% control of the special-purpose company Lyngsåsa Kraft AB.
