Allianz: invests in Fonds Innovation Défense

(CercleFinance.com) - Allianz France has announced that it is the first insurer to participate in the Defense Innovation Fund initiated by Bpifrance and the Defense Innovation Agency.


This dedicated fund aims to strengthen France's competitiveness and technological sovereignty by investing in innovative companies in the sector. It also supports promising startups contributing to the emergence of cutting-edge dual-use (civilian and military) technological solutions.

The fund has already invested in around ten companies for around €80 million, and is aiming for a target size of €300 million.

Allianz France, already involved in the defense sector, is thus completing its investment strategy initiated in 2023. The company is a long-standing player in the defense sector, insuring some 325,000 military and security personnel.
