Thales: coordinator of EISNET consortium

(CercleFinance.com) - Thales has announced that it is coordinating the EISNET (European Interactive Sensor-Based Dynamic Defence Network) consortium, which currently has 23 partners from industry, research centers and academia in twelve European Union (EU) member states.


The EISNET project aims to improve the responsiveness, resilience and performance of Integrated Air Missile Defence (IAMD) systems, in order to protect the EU from threats ranging from drone swarms to hypersonic missiles.

Jointly financed by the European Defense Fund (EDF), member states and industrial companies, this strategic project will develop a collaborative architecture at European level, to harmonise current and future air defense.

Launched at the end of January 2025 in the presence of 65 representatives from European industry, research centers and academia, the project will establish a common set of standards, and preside over the creation of prototypes and the development of demonstration scenarios.
