Allianz: to acquire a stake in Viridium

(CercleFinance.com) - Allianz, BlackRock and T&D Holdings will make an investment in Viridium, one of Europe's leading life insurance platforms.


Through this transaction, Cinven will withdraw from its majority stake in Viridium.

The value of the transaction is approximately 3.5 billion euros. The acquisition is split between the three groups, with T&D Holdings acquiring the largest share.

Viridium will continue to specialize in the consolidation and management of life insurance portfolios.

'The consortium's leading asset management capabilities across a broad range of asset classes, including private market strategies, will also support Viridium's ability to generate attractive returns for its policyholders while maintaining a healthy financial position' says Allianz management.

The transaction is expected to close in the second half of 2025.
