Nvidia: extended collaboration with General Motors

(CercleFinance.com) - GM has announced an expanded collaboration with Nvidia to develop next-generation vehicles, factories and robots through AI simulation and accelerated computing.


While GM already invests in Nvidia's GPU platforms for training AI models, this relationship extends to improving the design and operation of automotive factories.

Using the Nvidia Omniverse platform, for example, GM creates digital twins of its assembly lines, enabling virtual testing and production simulations to reduce downtime.

Nvidia DRIVE AGX will also be used as on-board hardware for future advanced driver assistance systems and enhanced in-cabin safety experiences.

The partnership with Nvidia will enhance the agility of GM's design, engineering and manufacturing processes.
