Eni: increased production in Côte d'Ivoire
(CercleFinance.com) - Eni announces a significant increase in gas supplies for power generation in Côte d'Ivoire.
Phase 2 of the Baleine project will strengthen the country's energy sector and industrial development. Baleine is the first net-zero upstream project (Scope 1 and 2) in Africa.
The gas produced will be fully allocated to meet local demand, ensuring a supply for the country's power generation needs.
Eni has also achieved oil production of 60,000 barrels per day in Côte d'Ivoire, tripling production from the 20,000 barrels produced in the previous phase.
With phases 1 (August 2023), 2 (December 2024) and 3 currently under study, total production is expected to reach 150,000 barrels of oil per day.
