RWE: contract with GE Vernova for Texas wind farms

(CercleFinance.com) - GE Vernova announces that it has signed an agreement with RWE to supply 109 2.
8 MW-127 m onshore wind turbines for the Honey Mesquite wind farm and to upgrade the Forest Creek wind farm.

Deliveries of the turbines for these two Texas-based projects are scheduled to begin later this year.

These projects will bring RWE's refurbished and upgraded wind power capacity in the US to over 1 gigawatt (GW).

RWE estimates that the wind farms will support several hundred full-time jobs during the construction phase and generate enough electricity to power more than 85,000 homes and businesses each year in Texas.
