Tesco: demand for flavored beers explodes in UK

(CercleFinance.com) - Tesco reports that flavored beers (with fruity notes) have become so popular in the UK that they are now the fastest growing part of the British beer market.


In concrete terms, demand for these light beers (around 4% alcohol) has exploded with sales volumes of +250% at Tesco in 2024, the retailer assures.

Illustrating this craze, the British brand Jubel, launched seven years ago, has established itself as one of the trendiest beers among consumers aged 21 to 35.

The company now offers five varieties of 4% lager - peach, mango, blood orange, lemon and grapefruit - and has recorded volume growth of over 300% at Tesco.

Jubel was the first British company to focus exclusively on fruity beer, launching in April 2018.
