Nexans: about to sell industrial cables
(CercleFinance.com) - Nexans announces that it has entered into exclusive negotiations to sell its industrial cables division, Lynxeo, to Latour Capital, a private equity fund based in France, for an EV of E525m, a transaction that would mark the group's exit from specialised industrial cables.
As a major player in cables for the industrial market, Lynxeo has a worldwide industrial presence in Europe and Asia, as well as in the US, with 2,000 employees and annual sales of over E700m. This agreement marks a major step in our journey towards electrification. It will simplify our operations and ensure an efficient allocation of our resources, said Nexans' CEO Christopher Guérin. The relevant authorities will be informed and consulted as part of the proposed transaction. In addition, this transaction remains subject to the usual regulatory approvals.
