Veolia: Bpifrance and its Lac1 fund take stake
(CercleFinance.com) - Veolia announces that the public investment bank Bpifrance and its French sovereign wealth fund Lac1 have agreed to invest E800m in the company's capital.
This transaction will be accompanied by the appointment of a Bpifrance representative to Veolia's Board of Directors, who will be proposed to the company's next Shareholders' Meeting: this person will become a member of the Accounts and Audit Committee and the Research, Innovation and Sustainable Development Committee.
With this investment, the Lac1 fund and Bpifrance affirm their confidence in the group's potential for profitable growth, its governance, its capacity for innovation and its unique positioning on the global and French markets, as close as possible to the regions, Veolia says.
