ABB: signs agreement with Charbone Hydrogen in America

(CercleFinance.com) - ABB and Charbone Hydrogen have signed a memorandum of understanding to collaborate on the development of up to 15 green hydrogen production facilities in North America over the next five years.


This agreement will enable Charbone Hydrogen to advance green hydrogen production in Canada and the United States.

Charbone Hydrogen Corporation is an integrated green hydrogen production company based in Montreal, Canada.

Among the sites covered by the collaboration is Charbone's flagship facility in Sorel-Tracy, near Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The facility is scheduled to be connected to the Hydro-Québec grid by the end of the second quarter of 2025.

The next project to start up will be in the greater Detroit area in the USA, which is the manufacturing base for major automotive companies.
