Toyota: EU authorises creation of a joint venture

(CercleFinance.com) - The European Commission has approved the creation of a joint venture between subsidiaries of China Minmetals Corporation ('Minmetals') and Meiwa (Shanghai) Corporation ('Meiwa'), both Chinese, and a subsidiary of Toyota Motor Corporation ('Toyota'), Japan.


The transaction mainly concerns the lithium-ion battery recycling sector.

The Commission concluded that the notified transaction would not raise competition concerns, given its limited impact on the European Economic Area.
