Deutsche Bank: new research institute launched
(CercleFinance.com) - Deutsche Bank announced on Thursday the launch of a new research institute designed to provide a better understanding of the major long-term issues facing the global economy, a move considered important by the German banking group.
The center - called the Deutsche Bank Research Institute (DBRI) - is to offer analyses from Deutsche Bank's research on issues such as geopolitics, macroeconomics, technology and corporate life.
The German institution explains that its aim is to adopt a more 'fundamental' approach and tackle a broader field of study, unlike the daily notes which focus more on so-called 'traditional' research.
Its publications should also be aimed at a wider audience, beyond institutional and corporate clients.
The world around us is changing rapidly, and our customers and partners are increasingly turning to us to (...) help them understand the long-term issues driving the world's economies", says Deutsche Bank CEO Christian Sewing.
The institute intends to offer its work in a variety of formats, from videos to webinars and podcasts, all of which will be freely available.
DBRI plans to draw on the expertise of Deutsche Bank's research team and draw on a database covering over 1,500 companies, as well as many key markets and sectors, such as rates, forex, equities, emerging markets, credit and securitization.
