Stellantis: strengthened partnership with Prosolia Energy
(CercleFinance.com) - Energy producer Prosolia Energy announced on Thursday the strengthening of its partnership with Stellantis, with the launch of new renewable energy projects in France and Germany.
The group, which was founded in 2003 and has a strong presence in Spain, Portugal, France and Italy, says it plans eight new facilities with a total capacity of 120 MW at the carmaker's industrial sites.
Five projects will be developed in France (Hordain, Mulhouse, Rennes, Sept-Fons and Sochaux) and three in Germany, all scheduled for commissioning by the end of 2025.
The collaboration agreement provides for the hybridization of certain sites with battery energy storage systems (BESS) to guarantee a continuous supply of renewable energy around the clock.
The strategic partnership between Prosolia and Stellantis began in 2020 in Spain.
