Siemens : PLM software selected by former Plastic Omnium
(CercleFinance.com) - Siemens announced on Wednesday that OPmobility, the former Plastic Omnium, has adopted Siemens Xcelerator's industrial software portfolio to optimize the design of its products.
The German industrial group reports that the automotive supplier will deploy its Teamcenter product lifecycle management (PLM) software. The project is designed to improve the efficiency of processes at its 40 R&D sites, which work on areas such as intelligent exterior systems, complex modules, lighting systems, energy storage systems and battery and hydrogen electrification equipment. Siemens Xcelerator is part of the software offering of Siemens Digital Industries, the industrial solutions arm of the Munich-based conglomerate, which was the main reason for the good financial results published for the past quarter.
