Ford: agreement with Italy's Iveco on a cab project
(CercleFinance.com) - Ford Trucks, Ford's truck brand, announced on Tuesday that it had signed an agreement with Italian manufacturer Iveco for the joint development of a new cab for heavy trucks.
In a press release, the two groups state that they intend to focus on the comfort, safety, aerodynamics and modularity of these new cabs, which are scheduled to go into production by 2028.
Total investment by Ford Trucks and Iveco is estimated at 343 million euros.
This agreement follows on from the non-binding Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) unveiled by the two companies last year, which is now set to become an operational project.
