Amoéba: towards expansion of production capacity

(CercleFinance.com) - Amoéba announced on Tuesday that it was extending its production capacity at its Chassieu site, near Lyon, to support its commercial launch.


The industrial greentech company specializing in natural microbiological compounds explains that this project aims to provide the necessary capacity to kick-start sales of its 'Axpera' range of biocontrol products, designed for the plant protection and cosmetics markets.

The 1.1 million euro investment will not only increase the company's capacity, but also generate savings by simplifying certain stages of the internal production process.

Following the signature last year of a memorandum of understanding with Koppert, which should lead to the signing of a contract in May 2025, Amoéba says it is actively preparing for the upcoming marketing phase, with the first marketing authorizations expected this year.

In addition, the company says it is considering a further increase in production capacity through new industrial investments, the early start-up of production by partners, or the assumption of part of the production volumes by Koppert itself.

Following these announcements, Amoéba's share price posted gains of over 7% late Tuesday morning.
