Adidas: new shirt supplier to Liverpool
(CercleFinance.com) - English soccer club Liverpool FC announced on Monday that it has chosen adidas to supply its shirts from next season.
Under the terms of the multi-year agreement, adidas will equip Liverpool with match and training kit for the men's, women's and youth teams, as well as merchandising for fans. In a press release, Liverpool recalls that adidas previously supplied equipment between 1985 and 1996, and again between 2006 and 2012, periods during which the club won three League Championships and three League Cups. The new shirts will be unveiled on August 1. Liverpool, 19 times English champions and winners of six Champions Leagues, are currently equipped by Nike, adidas' great rival and the world's number one sporting goods company.
