Euronext: higher volumes on cash markets in February

(CercleFinance.com) - Trading volumes on Euronext's cash markets rose sharply in February, according to figures published by the stock exchange operator on Friday evening.


Compared with January, average daily volumes traded on its cash markets rose by 13% to over 2.99 million transactions, the group reports.

Y-o-y, average daily volume climbed 22%.

These figures are in line with the strong rally in European equity markets last month.

In February, the pan-European Euronext 100 index calculated by the operator gained over 2.6%.

Following these announcements, Euronext shares advanced by 0.7% on Monday morning on the Paris Bourse, remaining slightly below the all-time highs set last week.
