Verallia: BWGI confirms proposed takeover bid
(CercleFinance.com) - BW Gestão de Investimentos (BWGI) confirms its intention to file a voluntary public tender offer for Verallia shares, without delisting the glass packaging manufacturer, with a view to becoming the majority shareholder.
This takeover bid, at a price of E30 per share (2024 dividend attached) would strengthen their existing ties and aim to reinforce Verallia's stability, enabling it to consolidate its leading position in sustainable packaging materials. If successful, BWGI will preserve the group's French roots by committing to keeping its head office and decision-making center in France.
