Enel: Stifel still on hold before results

(CercleFinance.com) - Stifel maintains its "Hold" rating on the stock, with a target price of E6.
60, ahead of its FY 2024 results, to be published on 13 March.

The analyst expects EBITDA to rise by 4% y-o-y in 2024, with growth in all key geographical areas, apart from Latin America, where he expects a decline in EBITDA.

Net income should improve to around E6.9bn (+6% y-o-y), based on the EBITDA growth we expect, stable net financial costs and lower administrative expenses compared with last year. We expect net debt to decline to around E55bn (vs. E60bn in FY 2023), the broker says.

The company remains selective on the development of the renewable energy portfolio. The dividend yield (7%) is the main positive factor in the short term, in our opinion, Stifel adds.
