GE Vernova: major milestone for H-Class turbine fleet
(CercleFinance.com) - GE Vernova reports that its H-Class gas turbine technology has surpassed 3 million hours of commercial operation on 116 units worldwide, with a capacity equivalent to powering more than 50 million U.
S. homes.
Since its launch in 2016, the HA fleet (i.e. GE Vernova's high-efficiency gas turbines,) has generated more than 67 GW of electricity, contributing to improved energy efficiency and the integration of renewable energies.
HA turbines can run on up to 50% hydrogen and be coupled with carbon capture solutions.
GE Vernova recently announced an investment of over $160 million in its Greenville plant to increase production capacity and meet growing electricity demand.
