Ryanair: towards 100% paperless boarding passes

(CercleFinance.com) - Ryanair plans to adopt 100% paperless boarding passes at the launch of its winter program on November 3, 2025.

From that date, Ryanair passengers will no longer download and print paper boarding passes, but will use only the digital pass generated in their 'myRyanair' application at check-in.

Currently, almost 80% of Ryanair's 200 million annual passengers already use this digital card. Thanks to this initiative, the airline expects to eliminate almost all airport check-in fees from November 2025, since all passengers will have checked in online or via the app.

According to Ryanair CMO Dara Brady, this development will be particularly useful to passengers in the event of disruptions.

"It will facilitate real-time updates from our operations center directly to passengers' phones, and also provide them with alternative flight options and transfer or hotel accommodation options if necessary," he assured.
