Mastrad: court decision expected on Tuesday March 25

(CercleFinance.com) - Mastrad announced on Tuesday evening that the Paris Commercial Court had postponed its decision concerning the acceptance of the safeguard plan for the cookware manufacturer, with a verdict expected on Tuesday March 25.


Listed on the Paris Bourse, the stock was down 13% at midday on Wednesday in anticipation of this ruling.

Following the termination of a contract with Whirlpool, its main customer, Mastrad had placed itself under safeguard proceedings in 2024 to give itself greater visibility.

But the extension of the second observation period granted under the six-month safeguard procedure ended on January 16.

In its 2023-2024 financial year, ending June 30, 2024, the group, which is trying to refocus on temperature probes, achieved sales of 1.8 million euros, compared with 6.3 million the previous year.

However, its net loss narrowed to 794,000 euros from -1.4 million euros in the 2022/2023 financial year, thanks to the initial positive effects of its cost simplification and expense reduction initiatives.
