Equinor: discovery of 19 to 44M barrels in the Norwegian Sea
(CercleFinance.com) - Equinor - alongside its partners, Okea and Pandion Energy - announces the discovery of gas and condensate in the Norwegian Sea, in the Mistral Sør exploration well.
Initial estimates indicate that this discovery contains between 3 and 7 million standard cubic meters (Sm³) of recoverable oil equivalent, equivalent to between 19 and 44 million barrels.
Equinor points out that this discovery has the advantage of being located in an area where a gas infrastructure is already in place.
As a result, the partners consider this to be a commercially viable discovery, and envisage a tie-in to existing infrastructure or development in conjunction with other discoveries in the region.
