Veolia: Caixa to acquire 5% of the group's capital

(CercleFinance.com) - Veolia and CriteriaCaixa, the investment company of the Fundación la Caixa, announce that CriteriaCaixa will acquire a 5% stake in Veolia Environnement.


CriteriaCaixa will have a representative on the Board of Directors under a shareholders' agreement.

With a representative on Veolia's Board of Directors to be proposed at the next Annual General Meeting of Shareholders, CriteriaCaixa, in its role as a strategic investor, will support Veolia's strategic direction, governance and independence, both on the Board of Directors and at the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders', says the group.
