Toyota: global sales up 1.9% in January

(CercleFinance.com) - The Toyota group reports 846,744 total vehicle sales in January, up 1.
9% y-o-y. This is the 1st time in three months that the group's sales have risen on the same period a year earlier.

In detail, in January, sales of the Toyota brand (including Lexus) rose by 0.1%, (to 785,632 vehicles), while those of Daihatsu rose by 40.2% (52,343 vehicles) and Hino sales fell by 5.6%, to 8769 vehicles.

In terms of production, the group announced that it produced a total of 885,346 vehicles in October, up 12.4% (the first increase in production over the last 6 months), with the Toyota brand notably up 5.6% (781,729 vehicles).
