Paramount: posts loss in Q4
(CercleFinance.com) - Paramount Global reported an adjusted loss from continuing operations of $0.
11 for Q4 2024, compared with EPS of $0.04 a year earlier, with adjusted OIBDA down 22% to $406m. NB: pmt -1.4%.
However, the parent company of CBS, Paramont Pictures and nickelodeon, amongst others, posted revenues that rose 5% to $7.98bn, with growth in direct-to-consumer (+8%) and film studios (+67%) offsetting a 4% decline in television media.
In its DTC activities, the group highlights the dynamism of its Paramount+ streaming platform, which reached 77.5 million subscribers, and in its film studios, the jump in revenues reflects the success in theatres of 'Sonic 3' and 'Gladiator II'.
