Arkema: increase in PVDF capacity at Calvert City

(CercleFinance.com) - Arkema has decided to increase the capacity of its PVDF production site in Calvert City, Kentucky, by 15%, representing an investment of around $20 million.


The chemical group explains that this expansion will support growing demand for locally manufactured high-performance resins for lithium-ion batteries, as well as the growing semiconductor and cable markets.

Start-up is scheduled for mid-2026, in line with the ramp-up of North American gigafactories and the significant expansion of local semiconductor manufacturing capacity.
