Imerys: GBL evaluates 'various strategic opportunities
(CercleFinance.com) - Groupe Bruxelles Lambert (GBL) announced on Friday that it was evaluating various strategic opportunities for the companies in its portfolio, including Imerys.
In a brief statement, GBL reacted to rumours circulating in the press yesterday about a possible delisting of the mineral specialties producer, in which it holds a 54.7% stake. As a long-term investor focused on value creation, it is part of GBL's normal course of business to evaluate various strategic opportunities for its portfolio companies, including Imerys, the Belgian group wrote. GBL adds that it has no intention of commenting further on market rumors or press speculation. On the stockmarket, Imerys - which unveiled solid 2024 results last night - was up more than 3% in early trading on Friday, taking its gains for the week to over 7%.
