Microsoft: 670 million euros invested in Poland

8 billion billion zlotys (around 670 million euros) in cloud- and AI-related infrastructure in Poland by June 2026, the US software giant announced on Monday.
The announcement was made official today at a meeting between Brad Smith, Microsoft's Vice Chairman and President, and Donald Tusk, Poland's Prime Minister.
In addition to its cloud and AI projects, Microsoft says it intends to work with the country's national defense to establish a framework agreement to strengthen its cybersecurity activities.
According to a report published by the Seattle-based group, Poland is currently the third European country and the ninth in the world most exposed to attacks by criminal organizations backed by foreign states.
Microsoft has also pledged to train nearly one million Polish software developers, teachers and business leaders in AI, cybersecurity and digital transformation by the end of 2025.
Microsoft has been present in Poland for 32 years, having opened its first data center in the country, and its first in the Central and Eastern European region, in April 2023.
