AT&T: CEO becomes Board Chairman
(CercleFinance.com) - AT&T announces that its directors have unanimously elected CEO John Stankey as Chairman of the Board, succeeding William E Kennard, who has been appointed Lead Independent Director.
As AT&T embarks on its comprehensive, Board-approved three-year strategic and capital allocation plan, this change provides the right governance structure for the Board, Bill Kennard said. This will increase our governance agility and improve our ability to seize opportunities to create long-term shareholder value while maintaining strong independent board leadership, he added.
