Bp: plans to sell its German Ruhr Oel refinery in 2025
(CercleFinance.com) - bp announces that bp Europa SE intends to sell its Ruhr Oel GmbH - BP Gelsenkirchen operations in Germany, including the Gelsenkirchen refinery and DHC Solvent Chemie GmbH.
The sale process begins immediately, with a target completion date of 2025, subject to regulatory approvals. The refinery will continue to operate as normal during this period. Emma Delaney, Executive Vice President, Customers and Products, says BP is looking to 'simplify and refocus its operations' and believes 'a new owner would be better suited to fully exploit the site'.
