Electrolux: significantly reduces losses in 2024
(CercleFinance.com) - Electrolux reports a net profit of SEK 150 million for Q4 2024, a far cry from the loss of SEK 4.
11 billion recorded a year earlier.
At nearly SEK 38 billion, the appliance manufacturer's quarterly sales rose by 7%, while quarterly EBIT improved from SEK -3.21 billion to SEK +1 billion.
Quarterly EPS came to 0.56 kronor, compared with -15.2 kronor a year earlier.
For the full year, Electrolux saw sales rise by 1% to 136 billion kronor, and the Group managed to significantly reduce its losses from 5.22 billion kronor in 2023 to 1.39 billion kronor in 2024. Annual EPS is thus down from -19.36 to -5.16 crowns.
'As we approach 2025, uncertainty remains over the potential impact of new trade policies in North America on demand for household appliances. In Europe, demand is beginning to stabilize, but a time lag is to be expected before lower interest rates and a possible improvement in disposable income support a recovery in discretionary purchases', commented Yannick Fierling, Managing Director.
'Against this background, we anticipate relatively neutral market demand for basic household appliances in all regions in 2025 compared with 2024', he added.
