Bank of America: EPS more than doubles in Q4

82 for Q4 2024, compared with $0.35 a year earlier, notably thanks to a 15% increase in net interest expense revenues, to $25.3bn.

The financial institution explains this increase mainly by higher commissions in asset management and investment banking, as well as an increase in sales and trading revenues, while net interest income rose by 3%.

Bank of America's profits were also buoyed by a sharp reduction in non-interest expenses, to $16.8bn, which more than offset an increase in credit loss provisions, to $1.5bn.
